we were invited to drive up to the corporate offices ofUSXpress to meet our fleet manager (dispatcher). here
is the new truck in front of the wall near the offices.
our new truck looks like it is smiling...... reminds me of the cars in the cartoon movie!
ok, so we have now changed trucks 4 times....from a freightliner to the peterbilt, to the volvo, and now the international. i tell ya, we have to get used to each one. even though they are all similiar, they definitely have their differences. we have to relocate all the switches, controls, etc. so that when something is needed (i.e. wipers for rain) we don't have to start looking. and they all ride differently as well. this one has a big cummins engine in it, and sounds much like a freight train going down the road! it is very smooth riding (for a semi) and only had 12,000 miles on it when we got it. the one we turned in had almost 400,000 miles on it, which is usually when USXpress sells them. unfortunately, it doesn't have as much storage space as the volvo had....but with some creative planning, we managed to get all of our stuff in! my favorite thing about the new truck: it has an awesome jake brake, which means it is easier to control going down steep grades. marc's facorite thing: the new air mattress that we bought for the bed, (since the mattress they gave us was so thin it hurt!) he LOVES the new mattress, and sleeps on both my shift AND his! HA....just kidding. (but he is a good sleeper!)

oohhhhh, its so shiny! it totally looks like it is smiling :) you are the BEST organizer in the world, i swear that if you had to live in a shoebox (which, you could fit into, by the way)- then you could make it feel like a mansion!! xoxo
I love the smiling truck!! So nice!! I am glad that you have a nice bed...SO important! Now all you need are some comfortable ear plugs :)
