out WEST!

since our time off in redding, we've been runing out west, between texas and california. that's nice, since the weather back east hasn't been so nice. we went to southern cal for my upgrade test (which i passed with flying colors!) so i am now officially a "first seat" driver....i know, scary! anyway, we are an official team, and have a NEW dispatcher, Bill, who is great. the only thing about running "team loads" is that often they barely give you enough time to get to your destination. for example, we just finished a Fed Ex load from Dallas, TX to Salt Lake City. They only gave us 24 hours to get here.....and luckily we did not have weather issues....so we made it in 20 hours--1250 miles! those runs don't leave much time for stopping to eat, stretch your legs, or pee! even karl has learned that when we stop the truck, he has to pee right here and now, because there's no time to be choosey and pick a spot! he's adapting very well!
